Anesthesiology Locums Job in Indiana | Day Shift + Call | Beginning October 12 - Ongoing Dates Needed:
-- October 12 – October 16 (1 provider needed)
-- December 21 – December 24 (1 provider needed)
-- December 28 – December 31 (2 providers needed)
-- Ongoing need for 1–2 weeks per month
Shift Options:-- 24-hour call (7 AM – 7 AM)
-- Day shift (7 AM – 3 PM)
-- Night call (3 PM – 7 AM)
-- One night call shift per week
-- Rotating weekend call coverage
Call Details-- Primary call responsibilities are OB-related
-- Providers may return to hotel after epidural placement while remaining on call
-- Must be able to return within 17 minutes for emergency C-sections when on call
-- In-house presence required for VBAC deliveries
-- Backup call supports additional epidurals, emergency C-sections, and complex cases
Requirements-- Board Certified/Board Eligible
-- ACLS certification
-- Minimum 2 years of experience
-- Local candidate within driving distance of Madison, IN preferred
Required Procedures / Skills-- Epidurals
-- Neuraxial anesthesia
-- Regional anesthesia
-- Single-shot interscalene blocks for shoulder surgery (no catheter placements)
-- Occasional regional blocks as clinically indicated
Assignment Details-- Types of Procedures: ENT, Eyes, GS, Ortho, Urology, OB
-- CRNAs practice independently with surgeon supervision based on the surgical case
-- Responsible for managing and preparing their own cases
-- Facility includes 7 operating rooms and 1 cystoscopy room
-- Typically runs 4 ORs daily with 1 room reserved for OB
-- Facility averages approximately one delivery per day
-- No involvement with pain management services
-- Responds to code situations only when airway management is required
-- Central line placement is rare
-- Endoscopy and TEE support is infrequent and scheduled for higher-acuity patients
-- No patients under 1 year of age unless pre-approved
-- Healthy pediatric patients 6 months and older seen for ear tube procedures
-- Tonsillectomy patients under age 3 are admitted overnight
-- Orthopedic total hip and knee cases performed under spinal anesthesia with same-day discharge
-- 2.5 full-time MDs and 1 full-time CRNA on staff
