Shift Details
-- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with floor call/beeper call from 3:00 PM-7:00 AM
-- Saturday and Sunday 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call
-- Weekend coverage required
-- In-house and beeper/phone call coverage required

Requirements
-- Board Certified - Vascular Surgery
-- Active Ohio license
-- Active ACLS
-- Active DEA
-- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
-- 5 years of experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery services

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
-- Emergency cardiothoracic and vascular surgery support
-- Consults and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
-- Vein harvesting during heart surgery
-- Assist in surgery
-- Write prescriptions
-- Coordination of care
-- Rounding
-- Interpret tests
-- Order tests
-- Vein harvesting
-- Retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit

Assignment Details
-- Inpatient/Hospital-Based setting
-- Adult and geriatric patient population
-- Average patient volume: 20-26 patients per day
-- Trauma Level 2
-- EMR: Epic
-- 1 provider needed
-- Reason for coverage: Growth
-- Average callback hours: Approximately 10 hours on weekends
-- Could possibly supervise/teach
