Coverage Details

-- Ongoing need up to 6 days per month
-- Coverage begins as soon as credentialed for a minimum of 6 months

Shift Details
-- 24 hour call coverage
-- Friday (5pm) - Monday (7am)

Requirements
-- Georgia medical license
-- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be within 5 years of fellowship)

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
-- PCI procedures in a low-risk PCI center
-- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
-- Echocardiography interpretation
-- Nuclear and treadmill stress tests
-- STEMI response and emergency cardiology care

Assignment Details
-- Inpatient consulting and emergency department STEMI call
-- Respond to STEMI and ED emergencies
-- Perform bedside consults and cardiac catheterizations as needed
-- Interpret echocardiograms and stress tests
-- Average volume: 10–12 consults, 3 caths per day
-- Additional procedures: 3–5 stress tests, 2 TEE’s, 10 echoes daily
-- Approximately 10 STEMIs per month
-- Support staff includes NPs, RNs, and technicians
-- EMR: Meditech
