General Surgery - Surgical Critical Care Physician Locums Job in Virginia | Inpatient 12 Hour Shifts Starting in June 2026 & OngoingJackson and Coker is partnered with a facility in Virginia that needs Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery locum tenens inpatient coverage beginning in June 2026 + ongoing. The facility has a need for 12-hour inpatient (in house) day shift, night shift & backup call coverage, and are seeking a *local* Virginia (or within driving distance) based physician to add to their schedule. This facility is equipped to handle high acuity cases with multiple surgeons in house & on call 24/7. They’re looking for a physician that is comfortable with fast paced environments & has flexibility in their work schedule to assist with up to 7 consecutive days of coverage each month.* Shifts are either 7A-7P or 7P-7A* Seeking a minimum of 7 consecutive days of coverage per month * Seeking physicians with an active Virginia license + within driving distance to the Roanoke, Virginia area Description/Requirements for Assignment #113877:* Active and unrestricted Virginia license + DEA required* Board Certification and/or true Eligibility required for this opportunity * Designated trauma level 2 * Inpatient 12 hour day + night shifts & night backup call coverage needed* Shifts typically include 2 surgeons on weekdays, 7A-7P, 1 surgeon covering nights from 7P-7A with backup call coverage out of house & some weekend needs as well* Must be comfortable with the full gamut of bread & butter general surgery and up to level 2 trauma / surgical critical care* COVID vaccine is required
