Coverage Details-- ASAP - Ongoing-- Credentialing timeframe: 60 daysShift Details-- 4-12 shifts per month-- Shifts: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM, 9:30 PM - 6:30 AMRequirements-- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine-- Iowa license or IMLC-- BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS-- Active Iowa DEA-- Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician within the last 12 months or completion of an Emergency Medicine residency within the last 6 months-- Clean malpractice history - highly preferredRequired Procedures / Skills-- Routine ER duties-- Codes
Assignment Details-- EMR: EPIC-- Dictation: Dragon-- No scribes-- Support Staff: 12-20 hours of APP coverage-- Easy transfer center process-- Annual volume: 22,000 visits-- 77% discharge rate-- 14% admissions-- 4% LBTC, 2.8% observation, 2.5% transfer-- ER locums do not have a lot of trauma responsibilities
