Shift Details

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
-- Michigan state license
-- BLS certification

Required Procedures/Skills
-- Airway management
-- Resuscitation and stabilization
-- Wound management
-- Diagnostic procedures
-- Trauma management procedures
-- Invasive procedures
-- Sedation and analgesia
-- Minor procedures, including incision and drainage
-- Pelvic exams
-- Psychiatric procedures

Assignment Details
-- Patients per shift: approximately 12–15 plus handoffs
-- Bed count: 19 plus hall beds as needed
-- EMR: Cerner
-- Support staff includes RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff
-- Facility Trauma Level: 2
-- Admissions required
-- Practice setting: Emergency Department
-- Teaching facility with potential for precepting medical students and residents
