Job Requirements for Assignment #117266:
*California State Medical license
*Board Certified Gastroenterologist
*Mix of Clinic and call required
*Clinic: Candidate expected to see 2 patients per hour in the clinic;
*24-Hour Call Coverage: Candidate expected to be available during shifts to respond to calls from Facility in a timely manner per medical staff guidelines and see emergent patients as presented through Emergency Department.
*At least 4 telephonic events and at least 3-4 in-person events per shift (could be consults or procedures).
*General Bread & Butter coverage
*ERCP and EUS not required
*Duration of Coverage: 11/17/2026 to 05/17/2027
*Mid-level support available Monday-Friday
*Coverage includes weekend call
GI Department Annual Volume Breakdown:--Gastrointestinal Procedures (Outpatient): Approximately 714+ procedures per year.
--Lower GI Procedures (e.g., Colonoscopies): ~382 procedures.
--Upper GI Procedures (e.g., Endoscopies): ~332 procedures.
--Emergency Department (ED) Context: The hospital’s ED sees over 60,000–65,000 patients per year, many of whom are referred to specialized GI care for acute issues.
