General Surgery NP Locums Job in Texas | Weekend Day Coverage | Beginning ASAP – Ongoing | Assignment #114461Coverage Details-- Weekend day coverage only
-- Saturday and Sunday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
-- Coverage required every weekend
-- Ongoing need with possible extension beyond June
Requirements-- Nurse Practitioner with acute care adult certification
-- Texas licensure
-- Experience providing inpatient consultation coverage for adult general surgery and trauma patients
-- PA preferred; NP candidates will be considered
-- Must be local - semi-local candidates may be considered
Assignment Details-- Inpatient admissions, consults, discharges, rounding, and follow-up care
-- Collaboration with on-call surgeons covering emergency department and elective general surgery consults
-- No first assist duties
-- No operating room responsibilities except basic bedside procedures (e.g., dressing and drain management)
-- APP will complete discharges
-- Multiple supervising physicians; seven surgeons rotate trauma call coverage
-- Patient volume: variable; service is busy with consults, pre- and post-operative care, and rounding
-- Support staff: nursing
-- Facility trauma level: Level 3
-- Local candidates required; semi-local candidates may be considered with approval
-- Weekend day coverage supported by HealthTrust APP locums
-- EMR: eCW
