Southern California Hospitalist Physician Locums Job
Jackson and Coker is seeking experienced Hospitalists for an ongoing locums assignment in Southern California. We are looking for four full-time physicians who can commit to 10-14 shifts per month for a long-term coverage need expected to last 6+ months, with an ASAP start available.

Position Details
--Full-time locums coverage
--Multiple openings available (4 physicians needed)
--Coverage across three hospitals
--Ongoing assignment with immediate start
--Minimum availability of 10-14 shifts per month
Schedule Options
--Day Shift (Rounding Only)
--8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
--Average census of 12-14 patients
--No admitting responsibilities
--Swing Shift (Admissions Only)
--3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
--Night Shift (Admissions Only)
--6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Practice Environment
--Lower patient volumes allow for more comprehensive patient care
--Hospitalists are expected to manage a wide range of clinical responsibilities rather than routinely handing off to consultants
--More time spent per patient and greater involvement in overall care management
--Semi-open ICU model
--Intensivist coverage available during daytime hours
--Hospitalists admit patients to the ICU when appropriate
--No procedures required
--Participation in code response teams required
Requirements
--Board Certified in Internal Medicine
--Internal Medicine residency training required
--Current ACLS certification
--Active California medical license
--Active DEA registration
--Ability to commit to 10-14 shifts per month
