Neuro Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in California | Day Shifts | Beginning January 6 – Ongoing | Assignment #112746

Coverage Details:
-- 10-hour day shifts, no call (7 AM – 5 PM)
-- Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU management of emergency surgery patients (brain, neck, spine)
-- Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days from receipt of fully completed application

Dates:
-- January 6 – January 29
-- February 3 – February 25
-- March 3 – March 4
-- March 9 – March 18
-- March 23 – March 29
-- April 7 – April 12
-- April 20 – April 26
-- May 4 – May 13
-- May 18 – May 27
-- June 1 – June 7
-- June 15 – June 21
-- June 29 – Ongoing

Requirements:
-- Board Certification: Current ANCC/AANP (NP)
-- CA License
-- ACLS required; ATLS and DEA preferred (ATLS not a deal breaker)
-- Clean malpractice
-- Neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care experience required

Required Procedures:
-- Low/moderate risk: laceration repair, IV access/insertion, fracture/dislocation reductions
-- High risk: G-tube placement, intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central/arterial line placement

Assignment Details:
-- Locum APPs do not assist in surgery
-- Level II Trauma Center
-- Average ICU census: 15–20 patients per provider per day
-- EMR: Cerner Care B
