Neurosurgery Locums Job in Virginia | 24-Hour Call | June and Ongoing

One of our partnering facilities is seeking Locums Neurosurgery coverage beginning in June through the end of the year. This will be standard 24-hour call coverage with general spine cases and minor cranial work. The surgeon will be helping to establish a patient base in a community with identified demand. Given the timeline of need, they are seeking candidates with an active Virginia license and DEA. Please reach out if you or a colleague are available!

Job Details/Requirements:
--Start: June 1 and ongoing for at least 6 months
--Coverage needed: 4 weeks per month - willing to split between two candidates
--Shifts: Monday 7am - Monday 7am
--Average caseload: 2 per day
--Average new admits: 2-3 per day 
--Procedures: general spine cases, minor cranial work

Call Details:
--24-hour call
--Average weekday callbacks: 5
--Average weekend callbacks: 2

Facility Details and Candidate Requirements: 
--Support staff: Full office support, no other providers on site
--Level II trauma center
--Beds: 200+
--Board Certified in Neurosurgery required
--Virginia license and DEA required
