Neurosurgery APP Locums Job in Virginia | 7 on, 7 off Night Shift Coverage: July and ongoing
Jackson and Coker's client is seeking 1-2 Neurosurgery APPs (Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant) to assist with 12-hour inpatient day and/or night shifts starting in July 2026 & ongoing. The client has one locums in place that will be covering 1-2 weeks per month & needs a 2nd provider to rotate on the opposite weeks - they're seeking candidates that are flexible and who are open to doing day or night shift coverage (night shifts are higher priority right now).
Job Details:
--Coverage needed: 2+ weeks per month, July and ongoing
--Schedule: Day and/or night shifts, Monday - Sunday
--7 days on, 7 days off schedule rotation
--Seeking candidates that are flexible & open to working day or night shift (7A-7P or 7P-7A) - night shifts are priority
--Open to multiple candidates
--Must have Neurosurgery and OR experience & be skilled in: drain removal, shunt adjustment, trauma/practice call
--Patients per day (shared): 20-30 (facility 1), 8-15 (facility 2)
--Case mix/Patient population: trauma (spin and crani), elective spine, elective crani patients
Candidate Requirements:
--MUST have an active Virginia license+ DEA
--NP candidates must be acute care Board Certified
--Facility Details:
--Will be covering 2 facilities within 20 minutes of each other,
--Level I and III Trauma centers
--Both facilities are fairly high volume, will have full support staff to work alongside of and divide volume between
--Service line staff: 8 MD's, 9 APPs
--EMR: Epic
