Shift Description:
--In house call - stays at hospital unit and works a 24-hour shift
--Call response time required: 30 minutes
Requirements:
--Board Certified or Eligible
--Licensed in Kentucky or IMLC
--BLS and PALS certification
--Admissions required
--Must have clean background
Required Skills: low risk pregnancy, high risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE), OB ultrasound (performance of, interpretation: Level 1/screening (viability) and Level 2/targeted (anatomic)), Amniocentesis, Routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for c-section), Complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBAC’s), Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, Surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only- tubal ligation, LOA’s, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic)- ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s)

--Temporary privileges available, full credentialing: 60 days
--Hospital Stroke Certified: Yes
--Patients per shift: 8
--Average number of deliveries per year: 900
--Beds in Department: 23
--Support staff: 2 RN, 1 MA
--PEDs Level: 2
--Not required to supervise AP or Resident
--Department has 2 OR's for C-sections and emergencies
