Shift Details
-- 12 or 24 hour OB hospitalist shifts
-- Shift start times at 7am or 7pm

Requirements
-- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology
-- Licensed in Kentucky or IMLC
-- Completion of OB/GYN residency (active fellowship acceptable if residency completed)
-- ACLS and BLS certifications
-- Active DEA – Highly Preferred

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Vaginal delivery
-- Cesarean delivery
-- Operative vaginal delivery if needed

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: OB Emergency Department hospitalist model
-- Facility includes 12 LDR beds, 26 mother baby beds, and a 16-bed Level 3 NICU
-- Duties include triage of OB ED patients and assisting with rounding on labor and postpartum patients
-- EMR: Epic
-- Support staff includes 6 RNs per shift (including a charge RN) and 2 surgical techs per shift for C-sections
-- Admissions per day: Approximately 5
-- Patients per day: Approximately 5–10, varies by day
-- Approximately 120–140 deliveries per month
-- Locums do not supervise midwives
-- Reason for coverage: Transitioning from contracted hospitalist group to in-house hospitalist model
