Obstetrics and Gynecology Locums Job in Michigan | 24 Hour Call | Beginning May 28 – Ongoing | Assignment #113913Open Dates-- May 28, 8 AM – 4 PM (Orientation)
-- May 29 – June 1, 7 AM – 7 AM
-- July 24 – July 27, 7 AM – 7 AM
Shift Description-- 24 hour call, all inclusive
-- Average call volume: approximately 8 calls per 24 hours (about 55 per week)
Call Details-- Arrival within 30 minutes for emergency or changes in labor conditions
-- Response required within 10 minutes for Emergency Department and Labor & Delivery
Requirements-- Board certified or board eligible
-- Active Michigan license required (IMLC not accepted)
-- ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS encouraged but not required
Assignment Details-- Primary Stroke Certified Facility
-- Trauma Level II facility
-- Approximately 370 deliveries per year (unit averages around 450)
-- Average patients per day: 4.3
-- Beds in department: 15
-- Admissions required
-- Rounding includes assigned and unassigned patients (family medicine residents manage most unassigned cases)
-- No dedicated pediatric emergency department
-- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days
-- EMR systems: Athena and Cerner
