Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Locums Job in North Carolina | Call Only | Beginning December 18 - Ongoing | Assignment #117866Coverage Details-- High-priority holiday coverage: December 18 – December 25 (covering for provider on maternity leave)
-- Credentialing time frame: 90 days (Temporary privileges available with clean malpractice and NPDB history)
Shift Details-- Call only coverage
-- Call type: Beeper call (30-minute response time required)
-- Phone consults: 0-3 per shift
-- Call ratio: 0-5
Requirements-- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
-- Active North Carolina license
-- Active NC Medicaid eligibility
-- Active ACLS
-- Active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
-- Completed OB/GYN Fellowship - Preferred
Required Procedures/Skills-- Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management
-- FHR interpretation (including NST, CST, and FSE)
-- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (including Level I/Screening viability ultrasound)
-- Routine delivery (vaginal delivery + decision-making for C-section)
-- Complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, and abruptions)
-- Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations
-- Office / minor gynecology (IUD insertion/removal, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
-- Surgical gynecology (open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, and operative/major procedures)
Assignment Details-- Practice setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
-- Daily patient volume: 4-6 patients in hospital; 4 admissions
-- Facility metrics: 11 department beds; ~150 average deliveries per year
-- Support staff: Hospital RNs, MAs, and CNM support
-- Specialist/Anesthesia support: Anesthesia physically present 24/7 (at least 1 person capable of initiating neonatal resuscitation present at every birth)
-- EMR: McKesson and Athena
