Hematology Oncology Locums Job in Iowa | Monday–Thursday Schedule | Beginning ASAP - Ongoing | Assignment #115429Coverage Details-- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday
-- 16 shifts per month
-- Must be available full-time
Call Details-- One weeknight call and one weekend per month
-- Call is phone-only
-- Very infrequent in-person consults
Requirements-- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
-- Will consider Board Certified Oncology providers with strong Hem/Onc experience
-- Active Iowa license or IMLC
-- Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology
-- Experienced providers preferred, but open to new grads
-- Clean malpractice/background required
Assignment Details-- Patient volume: 16–20 per day
-- Outpatient clinic with occasional inpatient consults
-- Hospitalists admit all patients. Physicians typically field phone calls from hospitalists
-- Adult patient population (18+)
-- 2 APPs in practice (no supervision required)
-- Nursing Support Ratio: 2 nurses /1 provider along with referral and triage nurses
-- Ancillary Staff per provider: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician
-- Services include chemotherapy, infusions, bone marrow biopsies, and specialty treatments
-- Minimal inpatient census (0–2 patients on average)
-- Teaching opportunities available
-- EMR: EPIC
