Oncology Locums Job in South Carolina | Full Time | Beginning July 1 – Ongoing | Assignment #113874Coverage Details-- Monday–Friday, 8:30AM – 4:30PM-- Coverage will extend beyond December 2026-- Weekend call rotation: Friday 4:30pm - Monday 8am; every 5th or 6th weekend-- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 daysRequirements-- Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology-- Active South Carolina license or IMLC-- BLS and DEA-- Clean background required for emergency temporary privileges-- Ability to commit to an initial contract of at least 6 monthsRequired Duties-- Participation in tumor board-- Management of bone marrow transplant patients-- Blood bank responsibilities-- Order laboratory tests and imaging-- Prescribe medicationsAssignment Details-- Practice setting: Free standing cancer center-- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric-- Case mix: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology-- Physicians on staff: 7-- Advanced practice providers: 6-- Average outpatient volume: 25 patients per day-- Average inpatient/rounding volume: 20 patients per day-- Permanent call rotation (not applicable during locum): 1 week every 6–8 weeks-- Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff-- Site requires providers to treat more than 12 patients per day. -- Inpatient is a requirement of this need; outpatient service and the hospital service are separate. A provider would not be covering both on the same day-- EMR: Epic
