Nocturnist NP/PA Locum Tenens Job – Inpatient Hematology/Oncology | Wisconsin

We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens nocturnist opportunity supporting an inpatient Hematology/Oncology/BMT service.

Schedule
--Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
--Saturday–Sunday and select holidays: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
--Rotating nocturnist schedule

Details
--Provide overnight care for Hematology/Oncology/BMT patients
--Complete initial assessments, comprehensive histories and physicals, and admissions
--Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
--Develop and monitor treatment plans
--Respond to nursing and caregiver concerns and changes in patient condition
--Enter and communicate admission, transfer, and treatment orders
--Perform appropriately credentialed procedures
--Collaborate with fellows, attending physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
--Complete progress notes, procedure notes, and other required documentation in Epic
--Receive sign-out at the beginning of each shift and provide thorough sign-out to the daytime team

Preferred Experience
--NP or PA with inpatient/acute care experience
--Hematology, Oncology, BMT, or chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
--ACLS and BLS
--Appropriate NP/PA licensure and certification
--WI licensure is preferred
