Orthopedic Spine Surgery Locums Job in Virginia | ASAP and Ongoing: Clinic and Call
One of our partnering facilities is seeking 10 days of Orthopedic Spine locums coverage beginning as soon as March and ongoing for at least 1 year. Client is looking for qualified Surgeons with training and/or experience in spine. Virginia licensed candidates are required due to urgency of need.
Dates needed: March 12 7am - March 23 7am priority. Ongoing 10 shifts per month afterwards.
Job details:
--Reason for coverage: Vacancy in department
--Coverage needed: 10 days per month
--Schedule: 24-hour call, 7am-7am
- OR block time: Monday and Fridays + call
- Clinic: Tuesday - Thursday, 8am-5pm + call
- 24-hour call Saturday and Sunday, on call during clinic and OR days
--Patients per day: 15-18 in clinic, follow ups and new pts
--Clinic schedule: 15 minute for f/u and 30 minute for new patients
--Procedures: Spinal only, no joints, no cranial, no scoliosis
Facility details:
--Department staff: 2 Neurosurgeons, 2-3 APPs
--Locums surgeon will be sole physician on call/in unit
--Bed count: 200+
--Not a designated trauma center
--EMR: Meditech
--Primary Stroke Center
Locum Requirements:
--Virginia license
--Board Certified required (ABOS)
--Experience and/or Spinal Fellowship required
