-- Ongoing coverage to start as soon as credentialed
Shift Details
-- 24 hour shifts, 7am-7am
-- 7-10 shifts per month
-- Inpatient only, hospital-based coverage (two locations within 13 miles of each other)
-- On call required with 24-hour pager call
-- Weekend coverage as needed
Requirements
-- Board certified in orthopedic surgery
-- Active Iowa and Illinois license, or Iowa or Illinois license with active IMLC
-- Fellowship trained in orthopedics
-- Willing to work at multiple locations
-- Clean malpractice and background
Assignment Details
-- Inpatient orthopedic trauma coverage at two locations
-- 24-hour call from 7am-7am with response required within 30 minutes
-- Average hospital census of 230-250
-- EMR: Cerner
-- Trauma Level III facility
-- Nursing and APP support available in the OR
-- Eight physicians and eight advanced practice providers on staff
-- Coverage includes all orthopedic trauma cases; total joints not required
