Cytology + Surgical Pathology Locums Job in New York | Scheduled Clinical Hours | Beginning ASAP – Ongoing | Assignment #113876Coverage Details-- Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM-- 3–6 month assignment-- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 40–45 daysRequirements-- AP board certified-- Active New York state licenseRequired Procedures / Skills-- Surgical pathology-- CytologyAssignment Details-- Responsibilities include general anatomic pathology, frozen sections, and cytology interpretation-- Locum will gross own specimens and cut own frozen sections-- Surgical pathology volume: approximately 13,000 specimens annually-- Cytology volume: approximately 3,000 specimens annually-- Other pathologists on site-- Support staff includes physicians, histotechnologists, a pathology assistant, and cytotechnologists-- Cytology proficiency exam required for GYN cytology-- EMR: Epic / BeakerFacility Details-- Hospital based pathology lab-- Cytology preparation method: ThinPrep-- Lab certifications: CLIA, NYS-- Trauma level: Level III-- Equipment includes ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic)-- Cryostats: Avantik QS12UV, Avantik QS II-- Microscopes: Nikon Eclipse E400, Olympus BX41
