A well-established pathology group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pathologist to provide locums coverage throughout 2027. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team with an efficient workflow.
Details/Requirements for Assignment #117687:
• Number of surgical cases: The current caseload averages about 25-35 surgical, cases per day.
• Types of cases: GI biopsies, GYN biopsies, skin biopsies, prostate biopsies, bladder
biopsies, laryngeal biopsies, breast biopsies, lung biopsies (for tumor), appendix, tonsils,
sinuses, gallbladders, hernias, mastectomies, colon resections, hysterectomies (benign),
breast lumpectomies, amputations, placentas, thyroid lobectomies, nephrectomies,
prostatectomies, rare lung resections, orchiectomies; Some peripheral blood smear
reviews; semen post-vasectomy analysis.
• Types of cytology: Few Non-gyn cytology’s and FNAs (rare, mostly thyroid). No cytotechs on site.
• Periodic frozen sections (Average 1-2 per week)
• No bone marrows
• No autopsies
• No pediatric tumor cases
• No bone resections for tumor
