This opportunity offers excellent support and flexibility for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Surgical Pathologist seeking locum tenens coverage starting April 2026. Dates of Coverage:*April 20 - 24
*Roughly 1 week per month ongoing
Job Requirements for Assignment:
* Texas medical license (or active IMLC) required
* Board Certification or Board Eligibility within five years
* Starts April 2026 and will be ongoing through the end of the year at minimum
* Surgical Pathologist needed
* This lab supports a larger Texas metro area and will be looking at candidates with any availability
* PA Support available for grossing, Pathologists cut their own frozens
* MD Support up to 7 pathologists available
* 500+ bed facility
* Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
* 25-30 cases per day depending on the complexity (about 75% simple / 25% complex)
* EPIC EMR
* Upcoming retirement forcing the hospital to hire a locums pathologist
* Will be required to obtain hospital privileges at the main site and two sister hospitals to occasionally read their slides
* GI biopsies, GYN benign/malignant, head/neck, lung, colon, GU
* If you need additional information, we have direct access to the lab's manager
