Open Dates-- October 26 – October 30 (Outpatient clinic + weeknight call 10/28)
-- October 31 (Saturday outpatient clinic, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
-- December 5 (Saturday outpatient clinic, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
-- December 21 – December 24 (Outpatient clinic + weeknight call 12/22 & 12/23)
-- December 28 – December 31 (Outpatient clinic + weeknight call 12/28 & 12/30)
-- January 2 (Saturday outpatient clinic, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Shift Details-- Providers may cover outpatient clinic, call coverage, or both
-- Call is taken from the hotel room; providers report to the hospital for deliveries or other pediatric needs
-- Can provide full coverage until Monday 7:45am or coverage may be split ending on Saturday and someone else then picks up until Monday
Requirements
-- Board Certified Pediatrics
-- Active New York license required to apply
-- BLS, PALS
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Neonatal resuscitation required
-- Delivery attendance required
Assignment Details
-- Facility type: Acute Care Hospital
-- 16-bed facility
-- Level 1 Nursery
-- EMR: Epic
-- Support staff: RNs in Labor & Delivery
-- Temporary privileges available
-- Coverage includes nursery and emergency department consultations
-- Pediatric patients requiring admission may be admitted for observation; transfers are made to another facility when appropriate
-- Daytime inpatient providers may also see outpatient patients at the clinic located on the hospital campus while remaining available for hospital responsibilities
-- Patient volume varies, typically 0-10 patients per day
