County Jail Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in Southern CaliforniaDetails/Requirements:*Need is for .75FTE or 30 hours a week for the client's intake psychiatry team at the county jail.
*The intake psychiatry team is similar to psychiatric emergency and consult services. Psychiatrists are expected to see minimum 1 patient per hour (10 patients = 10-hours).
*Will consider Psychiatrists for 3 ten hour weekdays per week as well as doctors who have weekend availability plus a Friday or Monday.
*10-hour shifts are typically 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm
*No call.
*MUST HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD OF ANY TYPE.
*Will be expected to adhere to county jail protocols for medication management and initial evaluations.
*Client uses an electronic medical record system called Cerner. So, candidates must be computer savvy.
*Takes approximately two months for credentialing.
*Client strongly prefers 3-month minimum assignments.
