Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles, California AreaDetails/Requirements:*Need starts ASAP and ongoing to cover a 12-bed geriatric psychiatry inpatient unit covered.
*Average daily census stays full.
*Part-time 5 hour shift of rounding 8am to 1pm, Monday through Friday plus one weekend per month from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Rounding will be less on weekends but the locums doctor will be there through 1pm to do any new admissions or discharges.
*Call schedule for nights after 5pm for weekdays and weekends is shared 1 in 3 for a week at a time. May get called like 2-3 times per week when on night call. Call is for phone consults only, no call backs at all. Client will get one of their own doctors to take call between 1pm and 5pm each day.
*Client has a preference for candidates who are local to the area and either geriatric psychiatry board certified or a board certified adult psychiatrist with geriatric psychiatry experience.
*H&Ps for new admissions are handled by an Internal Medicine medical group does these.
*Client has an electronic health record, so candidates must be computer literate.
*Takes approximately 3 to 3.5 months for hospital credentialing/privileging.
*Six month minimum assignments.
