Jackson and Coker is partnering with a respected health system in Upstate New York to provide ongoing locums psychiatric coverage in an outpatient setting. This opportunity is ideal for a board certified psychiatrist who enjoys teaching, as the role combines direct patient care with resident precepting across child and adult psychiatry.Opportunity Highlights:--Outpatient setting with a strong academic component seeing patients aged 6 and above--Blend of patient care and resident education--Long-term, ongoing assignment with consistent scheduling--Support from a well-established, collaborative health systemSchedule & Responsibilities:--Monday–Friday outpatient schedule (Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Friday: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM)--Approximately 1.5 days of direct patient care--3.5 days precepting psychiatry residents (ages 6+)--Start date: February 23
On-call coverage:--1 weekend per month--5 weekday nights per month (tied to inpatient unit)
Requirements:--Board Certified in Psychiatry--Active New York medical license--DEA required--Clean malpractice history
