Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in New York
Jackson and Coker has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide locum tenens coverage in New York.
Position Highlights:
--In-person only, no telehealth option available
--Start date: Immediate availability preferred
--Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension
Schedule:
--Approximately 21 hours per week
--One day per week with a 12:00PM - 8:00PM shift
--Additional days with a 9:00AM - 5:00PM schedule
Patient Population:
--Ages 5 and up, covering a wide range of diagnoses
--Primarily adults, with some pediatric cases
--Candidates must be willing to prescribe Suboxone (certification available if needed)
Responsibilities:
--Provide care through both evaluations and follow-ups (45-minute evaluations, 20-30 minute follow-ups for adults)
--Clinical supervision of NPs and participation in our PROS program
--Sign treatment plans and manage patient care
--EMR System: Netsmart
--Credentialing timeline: Fast-track process, approximately 2 weeks
--Certification requirements: enrollment in NY Medicaid/Medicare is required
