Shift Description
-- Monday–Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM
-- Varied schedule with specific coverage dates provided

Requirements
-- Board Certified or board eligible
-- Active California state license
-- Residency completed
-- BLS
-- DEA
-- California fluoroscopy
-- Clean malpractice history - Highly Preferred

Required Procedures/Skills
-- Lumbar punctures
-- Barium studies
-- Centesis exams with drains
-- CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies
-- Thoracentesis
-- Paracentesis
-- Nephrostomy tube placement
-- Intra-abdominal abscess drainage
-- Chest tube placement
-- Suprapubic catheter placement
-- Biopsies (thyroid, lung, and other sites)

Assignment Details
-- General acute care hospital setting (stroke certified; no trauma designation)
-- Coverage includes interventional radiology, stroke CTs, ED and ICU imaging
-- Potential outpatient coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
-- Supported by diagnostic imaging nurses and technologists
-- Support from a large radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
-- ED volume: 85–90 patients per day
-- Average census: ~50 patients
-- Expected workload: ~50 studies/day and 4–6 procedures/day
-- Majority of IR procedures are non-complex and percutaneous
-- EMR: Cerner
