Part-Time Psychiatrist Locums Job in New York | Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Clinic
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Part-Time, averaging 10 hours/week for maternity leave coverage starting in February 2026. Telehealth is an option.
An outpatient clinic focused on substance use treatment for women and children is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Provider to deliver high-quality mental health services to youth ages 12–22. This role includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management (including Suboxone prescribing), and therapeutic support in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment.
Responsibilities:
--Provide psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management
--Prescribe medications, including Suboxone, in accordance with NYS guidelines
--Deliver therapeutic interventions as needed
--Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
--Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications:
--NYS-licensed Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or Physician Assistant with prescribing authority
--DEA waiver (X-waiver) to prescribe Suboxone (or willingness to obtain)
--Experience working with adolescents and young adults in behavioral health or substance use settings
--Strong commitment to culturally competent, gender-responsive care
