-- Coverage needed a minimum of 3 weeks per month
-- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90-120 days
Shift Details-- Preferred schedule: 3+ weeks per month, Monday through Friday clinic hours with night call
-- Night call coverage required
-- No weekend call coverage
Requirements-- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
-- Active Michigan license
-- BLS certification
-- ACLS certification
-- PALS certification
-- Clean malpractice and license history - Highly Preferred
Required Procedures / Skills-- Must be able to work independently
-- Adult Cardiac Surgery
-- General Thoracic Surgery
-- CABG
-- Heart Valve Repair/Replacement
-- Tube Thoracostomy
-- Pericardial Window
-- Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy)
-- Thoracotomy Decortication
-- Mediastinal Surgery
Assignment Details-- Coverage needed Monday through Friday with night call and patient rounding
-- Trauma Level I
-- 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs available during daytime hours
-- Adult patient population
-- Average volume: Approximately 1 case per weekend
-- EMR: Epic
