Are you a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a background in complex surgical procedures? We are seeking a dedicated provider for a 24-hour call-based assignment in a dynamic medical group. This role offers a long-term 6-month engagement with a focused caseload and competitive tiered compensation.Position Overview--Role: Locum Tenens APP (NP or PA)--Start Date: ASAP (following a ~90-day credentialing period)--Duration: 6 months--Schedule: 4 shifts per month--Shift Type: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)--Setting: Hospital and Medical Office--EMR: CernerClinical Responsibilities--This is a comprehensive surgical role requiring technical proficiency in the OR and diligent patient management.--Surgical First Assisting: High focus on CABG, AVRs, and Lung cases.--Required Skill: Vein Harvesting proficiency is a mandate for this position.--Daily Duties: Hospital rounding, patient rooming, and detailed charting.--Patient Volume: Manage an average of 4–5 patients per day.--Call Structure: Pager-based call; you must be available to respond and report as needed.Requirements--Board Status: Board Certified in CT Surgery.--Note: Candidates BC in General Surgery with a CT Surgery Fellowship will also be considered.--Licensure: Active California State License is required.--Experience: Proven surgical experience is a must. No-surgical experience is a deal-breaker for this facility.--Certifications: Current BLS.--Travel: Local candidates are highly preferred.
