Shift Details
-- Staffed onsite: Monday – Friday, 7am-5pm
-- On-call weekday evenings: Monday – Friday, 5pm-7am
-- On-call weekends: Saturday - Monday, 7am-7am
-- Weekend coverage required
Requirements
-- Board certified
-- BLS/ACLS
-- Active Virginia state license
-- Clean malpractice
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Balloon angioplasties
-- Coronary angioplasty
-- Percutaneous coronary intervention PCI
-- Heart catheterization
-- Medical management of vascular disease
-- Coronary angiograms
-- Embolic protection
-- Carotid artery stenting
-- Atherectomy
Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Inpatient with call
-- Potential for rounding responsibility
-- Call volume includes STEMI activations with less than every other day emergent call backs
-- Average inpatient admissions per physician per day: 2+
-- Total beds: 250
-- ICU beds: 30
-- Other interventional cardiologists present during coverage
-- Patient population adult and geriatric
-- EMR: Epic
