Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant Locums Job l Northern California | Ongoing and Starting July
Coverage Details-- All shifts 7 AM – 5 PM onsite, then night call 5 PM – 7 AM
-- 10-hour onsite shifts
-- Includes weekend and holiday coverage
-- Callback hours average 1–2 hours
-- No ICU, Cath Lab, or ED call
Requirements-- NCCPA
-- Active CA Medical license
-- ACLS
-- BLS
-- DEA
-- Malpractice clean history
Required Procedures / Skills-- Recent and substantial cardiovascular surgical assist experience
-- Endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) experience
Assignment Details-- Level II Trauma Center
-- Approximately 10–11 heart surgeries per month plus additional thoracic cases
-- Morning rounds and post-op note documentation required
-- Shared responsibilities with surgeons
-- Clinic responsibilities Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with up to 6 patients (often after a morning surgery)
-- Additional follow-up visits as needed
-- Less than 10 patients typically in-house
-- EVH equipment: Maquet Hemopro 2
-- Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days
-- EMR: Cerner Care B with SurgiNet
