Family Practice With OB Physician | Locums To Permanent Job in Iowa
This exciting new opportunity with one of our partners in Iowa would be ideal for a physician looking to begin as a locums before transitioning to a permanent role with the facility. This unique opportunity is also open to a physician with ER or OB experience and will accept either/or.
Details/Specifics:--Start date: ASAP and typically 90 days to transition to permanent
--Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4.5 day work week with one day being a half day.
--Daily responsibilities: Outpatient coverage plus OB or ER inpatient coverage depending on the physician's comfortability.
--OB responsibilities: attend deliveries and C-sections. Annual OB patient volume was 81 last fiscal year.
--ER: average inpatient census around 8-9
--Physician chooses when they round on inpatients whether it's first-thing in the morning or over lunch
--Outpatient: Daily census averages 15-20, up to 25 if the clinic gets busy but physician determines their patient load. No call unless physician is covering OB and then on C-section call rotation with other physicians (1:5). Outpatient ranges from birth to geriatric patients, acute and chronic included.
--APP supervision not required, but additional compensation offered to physicians comfortable supervising physicians over APPs.
