Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job in Southern California | Coverage Starting March 2025
We are seeking a gastroenterologist for a locums position in Southern California. The position will start in March 2025 and may continue indefinitely. The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in gastroenterology and have a California state medical license. The position will involve inpatient procedures, rounding, consults, and unrestricted call. Mid-level support will be available. No advanced procedures are required. Fellowship-trained candidates will be prioritized. The position will require Outpatient Clinic 5 days/week 8am-5pm, a combination of 3-4 clinic days and/or 1-2 procedure per week. 24-hour hospital call shifts for two facilities (less than 20 minutes apart) + scheduled outpatient procedures as requested. Currently, their other locums GI averages 15-20 patients per clinic day and 10-12 procedures on designated procedure days. General GI Call; non-restricted. Response time is 30 minutes from call. Average 4-6 calls, 2-3 procedures between both facilities per 24 hour shift.
