Gastroenterology Locums Jobs in Colorado | Varied Schedule | Beginning May 4, 2026 – Ongoing | Assignment #113948Coverage Details-- May 4 – May 10
-- Ongoing dates will begin September 2026 when schedules are released
Shift Details-- Monday–Friday: 7:30am–5pm onsite scoping with Emergency Room coverage (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch)
-- Monday–Friday: 5pm–7:30am night call
-- Saturday–Sunday: 7:30am–7:30am 24 hour call
-- First shift: 7:30am–5pm orientation (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch)
-- Seven shifts per month total across all locums
-- Average call back hours: night call: 2.63 hours + 24 hour call: 2.6 hours
Requirements-- Board certified in Gastroenterology
-- Active Colorado license or active IMLC
-- Gastroenterology fellowship
-- Active DEA – Highly Preferred
-- Must be able to treat inflammatory bowel disease patients (IBD)
-- Clean background
-- Clean malpractice – highly preferred
Required Procedures / Skills-- Scoping
-- EGD
-- Colonoscopy
-- Manometry
-- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
-- 24 hour PH probe
Assignment Details-- Must signs all orders and notes
-- Locum is responsible to complete all orders that the physicians requests, including pathology orders (results may come in while provider is not on assignment and still must be completed in a timely manner)
-- Average patient volume: 12–16 scopes per day
-- Setting: Call, scoping, Emergency Room, inpatient, outpatient
-- Facility trauma level: III
-- Support staff: MA, NP/PA, RN
-- Rounding required
-- Anesthesiologist onsite
-- Hospitalists admit patients
-- ERCP not performed at this facility
-- EMR: EPIC
-- Credentialing timeframe:
---- 60 days standard
---- 90 days with malpractice/background issues
---- Emergency temps: 45 days
