General Surgery Locums Job in Colorado | 24-Hour Call | December 18–23 Plus Ongoing Coverage Starting January | Assignment # 114102
Coverage Details-- Coverage dates: December 18 – December 23 (All shifts end the following morning at 7 am)
-- Ongoing schedule: 10–12 shifts per month beginning in January (when schedules are released)
-- Credentialing time frame: 30 days (Emergency temporary privileges available)
Shift Details-- 24-hour call coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
-- Average callback hours: 6 hours per shift
Requirements-- Board Certified in General Surgery OR Board Eligible within 0–5 years of residency completion
-- Active Colorado state license OR active IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand at time of submission
-- Active ATLS certification
-- Active DEA (Required for credentialing; site will consider transferred DEA, but must be maintained for full duration of assignment)
Required Procedures / Skills-- General Surgery procedures and full-scope Emergency Room / Trauma call coverage
Assignment Details-- Practice setting: Inpatient / Emergency Room (Level III Trauma; 39 beds)
-- Total ongoing coverage: 10–12 days per month split across all locums
-- Patient population: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
-- Support staff: Echo tech, Lab tech, Nuclear tech, X-ray tech
-- EMR: Epic
