LEVEL III Neonatology Locums Job | In-House Coverage Required | Southern California
We are currently seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist to provide locum coverage for a respected Level III NICU program. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative care team while supporting a busy labor and delivery service.
Start Date: 4/23/2026
Duration of Coverage: 7/31/2026
Details/Requirements:
--Shift Schedule: Flexible
--Shift: 8:30AM to 8:30PM
--In-House Coverage: Provider must remain on-site during shift hours (sleep room provided)
--L&D: Approximately 350 deliveries annually (NICU and L&D on same floor)
--Attend high-risk deliveries <30 weeks gestation and as needed
--Must be certified and experienced in: Intubations, PICC/Umbilical Lines, Oversight of HFOV and Nitric Oxide, Induced Hypothermia
--Assist with ambulance transports as needed (average 1 per month)
--Able to stabilize and coordinate transfers for higher-level care when required
Qualifications:
--Board Certified in Neonatology
--Active state medical license
--Comfortable providing full in-house coverage
--Strong communication and leadership skills within a multidisciplinary NICU team
