One of our partnering facilities is seeking Neurosurgery locums for vacation coverage. There is also an opportunity for ongoing coverage thereafter.
Specific Dates Needed:--August 01 – August 09; 7a – 7a
--September 23 – September 27; 7a – 7a
--October 01 – October 03; 7a – 7a
--October 27 – October 29; 7a – 7a
--October 31 – November 04; 7a – 7a
--November 24 – November 29; 7a – 7a
--December 22 – December 31; 7a – 7a
Job Details:
--Start: August and ongoing for shifts listed
--Shifts: 24-hour call 7am-7am
--Call details: Hospital, OR, primary or backup call depending on shift
--Duties: Trauma call, new consults, hospital rounds--Required Procedures: Back and spine trauma
--Cases: Trauma, ICH, Spine, Placement of drains
--Number of ICU pts per day: 10
--Number of admissions per day: 7 (NS does not admit)
Facility Details:
--Support staff: Employed surgeons as back up call majority of the time, with locums being primary. Locums will have either another locums or permanent Neurosurgeon on each shift with them. APPs to assist with rounding.
--EMR: EPIC
--Level I Trauma Center
--Beds: 300+
Candidate Requirements:
--Nebraska license highly preferred, will accept IMLC
--Board Certified or Eligible Neurosurgery
--Clean background/malpractice highly preferred
--Availability needed to present
--Two Supervisory professional references
