Requirements
-- Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
-- Active Iowa license
-- Clean malpractice and background history

Required Procedures/Skills
-- Vaginal deliveries
-- Cesarean deliveries
-- Management of high- and low-risk obstetric cases
-- Urgent gynecological consultations and surgeries

Assignment Details
-- Inpatient responsibilities at a dedicated birth center
-- Supervision of advanced practice providers required
-- Nursing support provided with 1:1 coverage and additional hospital support
-- Average volume of 500–600 births per year
-- EMR: Epic
-- Teaching hospital with residency program and medical student rotations
-- Oversee labor and delivery unit
-- Triage patients
-- Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries
-- Manage obstetric emergencies
-- Provide education and mentoring to residents and staff
-- Assist peers with complex surgical cases as needed
