Oncology Surgery Physician Locums Job in Georgia | Full-Time and Ongoing
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in Georgia that needs a Surgical Oncologist with Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) experience for locums coverage starting with July 3 weekend. This opportunity will involve inpatient responsibilities, OR time, and call coverage while working alongside an established surgical oncology team.
Details for Assignment #114119:
- 5PM Friday-7AM Monday covering weekend call
- Need all weekends covered starting July 3 through the end of 2026
- Active Georgia License required
- Board Certified General Surgery required
- Experience in Surgical Oncology and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery required
- Assignment includes inpatient coverage, OR time, and hospital call coverage
- Team structure: Will work alongside 4–5 physicians with APP support available
- Surgical cases will primarily involve first assist responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:--First assist with OR cases which range from ex laps to whipples or liver resections, both open and robotic
--Rounding with the team on inpatients and consults – 30+ high acuity patients
--Seeing new consults or admissions and coordinating care with intermittent APP support from Saturday at 7 am – Sunday at 6 pm
--Case volume is ~1 per weekend
--Take calls for inpatients and consults during above hours
--All surgical bookings will come through the attending surgeon on call.
