Jackson + Coker is partnered with an outpatient clinic/surgery center (less than 1 hour north of Richmond, Virginia) that needs full-time Ophthalmology locum tenens coverage starting ASAP (as soon as mid-February) and through the end of 2024.
Coverage need:
* Seeking coverage for a four day work week, each week
* Schedule is Monday - Thursday from 8AM - 4:30PM
* Will spend 1.5 - 2 week days per month in the OR, all other days are spent in clinic
* No night /weekend call coverage needed (may need to take light phone calls after surgery days)
Details/Requirements for Assignment #100109:
» Active and unrestricted Virginia medical license required (+ VA DEA)
» Board Certification and/or true eligibility required
» Monday - Thursday coverage every week starting in late March 2024, hours are 8A-4:30P each day
» Will primarily work in the clinic setting; Will spend 1.5 - 2 days each month doing surgery
» Outpatient clinic + outpatient surgery center (no inpatient surgeries/call)
» Average clinic volume: 30-35 PPD (will work alongside of 2 Optometrists + support staff - no other Ophthalmologists)
» Average surgery volume: 20+ surgeries per month (split in 1.5-2 OR days/month)
» Majority of adult patient population; very rarely will see peds patients
» Cases to anticipate while on assignment: SLT, YAG, corneal foreign body removals, chalazions all done in office. Cataract Surgeries with MIGS
» Cases you will not do as a locums on assignment: Botox, Medical Retina procedures, no strictly glaucoma only cases
» Epic EMR, 40-60 day credentialing timeline (will explore expedited creds if you can start in Feb), apart of a large, established Virginia Health System
