Shift Details
-- 24-hour on call shifts, 7am-7am
-- Inpatient and call coverage at multiple facilities
-- Weekend coverage required
-- On call required
Requirements
-- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
-- Active Iowa license or active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
-- Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Surgery
-- Clean malpractice and background history
Required Procedures / Skills
-- History and physical exams, admitting, evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and consulting on orthopedic conditions
-- Management of musculoskeletal conditions including trauma, infections, tumors, deformities, and degenerative diseases
-- Care for orthopedic patients across all age groups
-- Ability to assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of emergent orthopedic cases
Assignment Details
-- Inpatient and call coverage only; no clinic responsibilities
-- Must take all inbound call inquiries related to the facility
-- Patient population: all ages
-- Average daily census: 10–20 across both locations
-- EMR: Epic Enterprise
-- Number of physicians: 4
-- Number of advanced practice providers: 4
-- No supervision of APPs required
-- Medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services available
-- Facility trauma level: Level III
