Full-time Surgical Pathology Locums Job Starting November 4 (or Sooner) | Ongoing into 2025
Jackson + Coker is partnered with a medical group located just south of Tampa, FL that needs full-time AP/CP Pathology locum tenens coverage starting ASAP (on or before the week of November 4). The group needs Monday - Friday coverage consistently and is willing to piece this need together with 2-3 physicians in order to have a cohesive, full-time schedule covered.
Schedule Details:
* Monday - Friday from 8A - 5P
* No night or weekend call coverage needed
* Seeking candidates that can cover a minimum of two2 consistent weeks/coverage each month
Dates of Coverage:
- November: 4-8, 11-15, 18-22, 25 27
- December: 2-6, 9-13, 16-20, 23-24, 30 - January 3
- January: 6-10, 13-17, 20-24, 27-31
+ ongoing coverage through 2025
Daily case load/volume to anticipate while on assignment: Average of 7 surgical cases/day, 5 (stand-alone) PDL1 and HER2 IHC analyses each/day, 10 tumor tissue circling cases & interpretations of serum protein electrophoresis, serum protein immunofixation, and Hemoglobin electrophoresis. The surgical pathology cases will include targeted core biopsies (breast, liver, lung, prostate, skin, lymph nodes, GYN, bladder) and non-GYN cytology (FNA, fluids). There are no autopsies and no large surgical pathology cases.
Details/Requirements for Assignment #105163:
» Active Florida license required
» AP/CP Pathology / Surgical Pathology Board Certification required
» Ideally would split need between 2 physicians but open to 3 if necessary
» No hospital privileges required - will be credentialed at a lab attached to an outpatient center
» Will work alongside a Pathology group that consists of 4 other Pathologists & several Histotechs
» Other duties include answering daily emails requesting pathologist directives, participation in a monthly tumor board (remote), and participation in CAP Proficiency testing
» EMR: FlatIron OncoEMR, SCC Soft LIS
» No grossing required
